Bu yıl 15.si düzenlenen Bursa Uluslararası Fotoğraf Festivali “Kırılma Zamanı” temasıyla Türkiye’de fotoğrafa yeni bir soluk getirecek ve dünyanın bu politik, sosyolojik, ideolojik, toplumsal, kültürel ve ahlaki yapısındaki kırılganlığı temsil eden imgeleri izleyicilerle buluşturacak. Kırılma Zamanı temasıyla, fotoğrafı hafıza, direniş, umut ve yeni bakış biçimleri ekseninde bir kez daha düşünmeye davet edecek. Çünkü Kırılma Zamanı bu belirsizlik, tedirginlik ve dirençlilik anlarında bir durup bakma çağrısı. Festivalde yer alacak her görüntü ve her söz, içinden geçtiğimiz çağdaki kırılma zamanını sabitleyen, hatırlatan ve bazen de tam kırıldığı yerden şefkatle onaran bir araca dönüşecek. Kırılma anları, aynı zamanda yeni olasılıkların doğduğu anlar olarak bize umudu ve yenilenmeyi, dönüşümü de gösterecek. Geçmişten aldıklarını şimdide biçimlendirirken geleceğe taşıyan fotoğraf ile festival aracılığıyla hatırlamak bir hak, bir eylem ve bir direnç biçimine evrilecek. Bu festival, fotoğrafın bir belge olmasının yanı sıra bir tanıklık, bir sığınak, bir karşı koyuş biçimi olduğunu vurgulayacak. 15. Bursa Uluslararası Fotoğraf Festivali’nin açık çağrısına başvuran fotoğraflarda bu kırılmaların kişisel, toplumsal, ideolojik, kültürel, ahlaki ve sanatsal yansımalarını görmeyi arzu ediyoruz. Belgesel fotoğraftan, kavramsal fotoğrafın imgesel üretim biçimlerine ve alternatif fotoğraf tekniklerinden dijital mecralarla fotoğraf üreten fotoğrafçılara yer vermek istiyoruz. Bu nedenle festivalde açık çağrı sergisiyle, sadece ülkemizin değil dünya fotoğrafının da yeni ve farklı bakış açılarını birleştirmeyi hedefliyoruz.

This year marks the 15th edition of the Bursa International Photography Festival, held under the theme “Time of Rupture.” With this theme, the festival brings a fresh perspective to photography in Türkiye, showcasing images that reflect the fragility of today’s political, social, ideological, cultural, and moral landscape.“Time of Fracture” is an invitation to pause—to rethink photography through the lenses of memory, resistance, hope, and new ways of seeing. Every image and every word presented in the festival will become a tool to capture, recall, and sometimes tenderly mend the fractures of our time. Fracture is not only about uncertainty or tension; it is also the point where new possibilities emerge—where hope, renewal, and transformation take shape. Through photography, we remember, we resist, and we carry the past into the future. The festival highlights photography not just as a document, but as testimony, as shelter, and as a form of defiance. For this year’s Open Call, we welcome works that reflect personal, social, ideological, cultural, moral, and artistic fractures. From documentary photography to conceptual image-making, from alternative techniques to digital practices— we want to showcase photographers working across these disciplines. Through the open call exhibition at the festival, we aim to showcase new and diverse perspectives in photography—not just from our country, but from around the world.
